Privacy Policy

The short version

• No account is required and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
• Your quit plan, craving logs, journal, reasons, quit attempts and settings are stored only on your iPhone.
• We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we don't use the advertising identifier.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. To verify Premium, the app sends purchase information and a random anonymous app user ID to RevenueCat. No logs, journal entries or health-related data are included.
• You can export all your data or delete it from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

CraveBreaker: Quit Vaping ("CraveBreaker", "we", "us") is an iOS app that helps adults quit vaping. For any privacy question or request, contact ran.gray.james@gmail.com.

Data stored on your device

The following is created by you and stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. We have no server copy and cannot access it:

• Your quit path, quit date, previous quit attempts and preferences
• Craving logs: time, situation, intensity, coping strategy, whether you vaped and optional notes
• Journal entries and personal reasons for quitting
• Your quit plan, triggers, coping choices and an optional support contact name or number you enter
• Spending baseline, savings goal and any amounts you record as set aside
• Reminder settings

A small, non-sensitive summary (such as days since your quit date and an estimated savings figure) is shared with CraveBreaker's own widgets and Live Activity through Apple's App Group storage on your device. Your data may be included in your device's encrypted iCloud or computer backup according to your iOS settings; we can't access those backups.

Purchases

Premium subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your name, payment details or Apple ID.

To unlock Premium reliably across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous app user ID, your purchase and transaction history, and basic device and app information needed to validate purchases (for example app version and storefront). This data is used only to provide Premium access and is not linked to your identity by us, used for advertising, or sold.

Notifications

Reminders are optional and scheduled locally on your device. The app only asks for notification permission when you turn a reminder on. By default, previews are discreet and don't mention vaping; you can choose detailed text. Quiet hours are supported. No push servers are involved.

Network use

Core features — craving tools, your plan, logging, journal and progress — work offline. The app connects to the internet only for purchases and purchase verification (Apple and RevenueCat), and when you choose to open a web link such as a support resource.

What we do not do

• No analytics, crash-reporting or usage-tracking SDKs
• No advertising or advertising identifiers
• No selling or sharing of personal data for marketing
• No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera or Apple Health data
• No cloud storage of your logs, journal or plan

Export and deletion

In the app, go to More → Privacy & data to export everything you've entered as a file or delete all app data. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device. Purchase records are kept by Apple under its policies, and anonymous purchase records by RevenueCat as needed to keep Premium working; email us to request deletion of the RevenueCat record.

The website

The free tools on this website (craving tool, cost calculator and plan generator) run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us. If you choose “remember on this device”, your reasons are stored only in your browser's local storage. The site doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies.

Age

CraveBreaker is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data. Because your app data is on your device, you can access, export and delete it yourself. For anything relating to anonymous purchase records, email ran.gray.james@gmail.com. See also Privacy Choices.

Changes

If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the effective date before the change takes effect.
